Regular Prayer Meetings at St George's

As a Christian, we have a relationship with God and prayer is an important part of that. Prayer is how we talk with God, asking Him to act on our behalf, seeking His guidance and expressing our love for  Him. We cannot know Him without it.

Praying alone to God strengthens our personal relationship with Him and praying together as a group of believers  builds our connection to Him and each other.

At St George’s, we hold regular prayer meetings both weekly and monthly in order to meet as a praying church.

God IS longing to be involved in your life and is just waiting for you to ask. Know that....

  • GOD LOVES YOU  (we were made in his image)

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

  • WE HAVE ALL SINNED  (Sin broke God's image in us and our connection to him but he still longs for us) But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?"

  • JESUS DIED FOR OUR SIN  (Jesus the perfect image of God chose death to restore what we lost & make us new)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone, the new is here!

  • THE CHOICE IS YOURS   (God gave us the right to choose life) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

A simple prayer to ask the Lord into your heart.

"Jesus I want to declare with my mouth and my heart that I believe you are the Son of God, that you died for me and rose again. You have the power to forgive my sins and I confess them to you now and repent of my sins. Come and be Lord of my life and dwell in my heart. Restore in me a clean heart and make me right with God. Amen"

Today you have begun your journey with God we invite you to come and grow with us in your relationship with him and his church....

ut being a Christian or come to one of our services.

Receiving Prayer 1-to-1

Anyone can come forward after the church service on a Sunday to receive individual prayer. There is usually a man and a woman available to pray for you. These prayers will usually not be overheard by others as they will be busy getting tea or coffee, although it will be visible.

The next Alpha course to be hosted by St George's Church is planned to be held once per week from 28th September to 30th October 2020.
